Everybody poops!
You are invited to an evening event exclusively for educators all about poo, toilets, sanitation systems, and water at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center. Come explore our new exhibition A Better Way to Go: Toilets and the Future of Sanitation, chat with educators from organizations across the region, and have some fun!
This exhibition highlights new innovations, powerful stories, toilets of the future, art installations, and visions of resilient and sustainable sanitation systems that can move the needle on this critical issue and save lives. You will walk away with lessons, activities, and resources to help educate on sanitation issues both locally and globally.
Event activities
- Network over food and beverages with other educators.
- Poo can be beautiful! Make a terrarium out of soil made from processed human waste.
- Chat with Discovery Center educators about our free school workshops and educator resources. Resources and workshops are available for a range of subjects from science to social studies.
- Try, if you dare, the smell booth to experience first-hand technology used to reduce the impact of smell on sanitation issues.
- Participate in a toilet talk to learn how reinvented toilets inclusively designed for global markets are changing the face of sanitation access.
RSVP is required! If you’d like to bring a colleague, spouse, friend, or partner please have them register. We look forward to seeing (and smelling) you soon. 💩
