Omni Processor
Omni Processor
Janicki Bioenergy
If a toilet can be reinvented, why not a waste treatment plant too? Engineers developed the Omni Processor to provide a low-cost method of treating human waste in low-resource areas around the world.
How does it work?
- The Omni Processor takes in fecal sludge from the pit latrines and septic tanks of whole communities.
- Through its treatment processes, it turns human waste into reclaimed products: drinkable water, fertilizer, and electricity in the form of methane that powers the plant.
Currently operating in four locations around the globe, the Omni Processor requires a fraction of the energy, space, and cost of traditional sewer and wastewater treatment plants.
