The Enviro Loo is a unique off-the-grid community toilet that requires no sewer system, no water, no external energy, and no chemicals. Powered by wind and solar energy, its closed-circuit technology recycles 100% of treated products to supply water for flushing and handwashing.

How does it work?

• Solid and liquid waste moves from the toilet to the treatment system. 
• Bacteria in a reactor combines with oxygen to break down waste. 
• Liquid waste is filtered by passing it through a Membrane Biological Reactor.
• Ultraviolet light further disinfects the waste.
• Clean, pathogen-free water is recirculated for use in flushing.
