Youth Ambassador Program (YAP)

Our Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) engages Seattle-area high-school-aged youth who want to raise awareness about local and global issues and create youth-focused programs to inspire positive social change. Meetings are held weekly from September through May.

Youth Ambassadors spearhead community outreach efforts, organize the annual Teen Action Fair, co-facilitate Teen Week summer workshops, and develop leadership, empathy, and collaboration skills along the way.

Global Youth Ambassador Program

The Global Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) is a five-month long (February-June) virtual program for high school students hosted by the Gates Foundation Discovery Center. This program is open to global participants and youth living in the United States outside of Washington State.

Participants will learn about the foundation’s work while developing the skills used for making change, with the added perk of connecting with peers from around the world! This program will be conducted in English.
